Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his assertion that opposition events would remorse elevating the problem of electoral bonds, Thackeray stated the state of affairs is such that anybody will remorse being with the ruling celebration.

Referring to his celebration's decades-long alliance with the BJP, Thackeray stated, “We have recently realized their corruption policy and wonder how we stayed with them for so long.”

The alliance of BJP and Shiv Sena broke after the 2019 Maharashtra Meeting elections.
