Ukraine-Russia war: US allows sale of weapons worth $10 billion to Poland

Washington: US President Joe Biden’s administration on Tuesday accepted a $10 billion arms sale to its NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) ally Poland amid Russia’s ongoing assaults on Ukraine.

The US State Division notified Congress that the sale of Intermediate-Vary, Excessive Mobility Artillery Rocket Methods (HIMARS), different munitions, and gear to Poland has been accepted. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is about to finish one 12 months and in such a scenario, Poland and different NATO allies are apprehensive about the opportunity of rising Russian aggression on Ukraine. The ministry stated the sale would help US international coverage and nationwide safety aims by enhancing the defensive capabilities of NATO ally Poland. Poland is significant for political stability and financial progress in Europe.
