LUCKNOW: The ‘unidentified’ driver of BJP MP in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow has been booked after an SUV pushed by him allegedly crushed a nine-year-old boy to loss of life, police mentioned.
Abhishek Rajbhar, a category 2 scholar, was crushed to loss of life below the wheels of an SUV belonging to native BJP MP Harish Dwivedi close to Hardiya petrol pump of Basti district.
The boy was referred to the trauma middle in Lucknow however he succumbed to accidents.
The police lodged an FIR on Sunday night after the CCTV of the incident went viral.
Basti Superintendent of Police, Ashish Srivastava mentioned that an FIR below the costs of inflicting loss of life by negligence and rash driving or driving on a public approach has been registered in opposition to the unidentified driver of the SUV belonging to the BJP MP and a probe is underway.
“We will not spare the driver at the wheel of the SUV, who caused the incident. Two vehicles of the BJP MP have been spotted on the CCTV. An officer of CO rank is probing the case. The post-mortem of the boy has been conducted,” he added.
The sufferer’s father, Shatrughan Rajbhar, mentioned that no motion has been taken by the police in opposition to the BJP MP or the driving force to this point regardless of the MP and his car being clearly seen within the CCTV footage recovered from the spot of the incident.
Locals instructed reporters that the MP didn’t even flip as much as pay his condolences to the household.
In the meantime, an 87-second CCTV footage recovered from the spot reveals two SUVs after the incident, wherein one of many SUVs’ bumper can be broken, police added.
