Uttar Pradesh: Two women of turtle smuggling gang arrested

Ghazipur (UP): Railway police have arrested 626 tortoises being taken from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal and arrested two feminine smugglers – Lachho Devi and Kanchan Devi, price round Rs 7 lakh. The police knowledgeable about this. Authorities Railway Police (GRP) Police Station President Akhilesh Kumar Mishra mentioned that the turtles have been recovered from the final coach of Kamakhya Categorical going from Gandhidham to Guwahati in Gujarat parked at Ghazipur Metropolis station.

He informed that two girls have been going with these turtles, who hails from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The police officer mentioned that each the ladies have been introduced down and the forest division was knowledgeable about it. Quoting forest division workers, the police mentioned that the whole variety of turtles recovered was 626. The SHO informed that each the ladies have been going to Siliguri with a turtle. He informed that each the ladies informed that she collected the tortoise from close by and boarded the practice. Mishra mentioned that data is being sought concerning the involvement of any gang in turtle smuggling.
