A march and dharna was held at Jantar Mandar demanding the popularity of the pressing calls for of Asha employees and facilitators. The agitation raised calls for similar to stabilization of these working within the Asha scheme, elevating the minimal wage to 26,000 rupees and introduction of social safety pension. People from 13 states participated within the march and dharna organized by Asha Staff and Facilitators Federation of India (CITU). The dharna was inaugurated by CITU All India President Okay Hemalatha.
Federation General Secretary Madhubita Bandopadhyay, MPs Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, V Sivadasan, All India Kisan Sabha General Secretary Viju Krishnan, Anganwadi Staff Federation General Secretary AR Sindhu, Jai Bhagavan, Prasanna Kumari and MB Prabhavati spoke.
