Sports desk. Indian captain Virat Kohli is mostly discussed among Pakistan’s cricket team. He is also compared to Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Recently a statement also came that Virat Kohli should learn from Babar Azam. After which, however, he was pulled a lot on social media. But another comparison has been made between Virat Kohli and Pakistan which is the subject of discussion at this time. In fact, Virat Kohli earns as much as the entire team of Pakistan is able to earn in a year.

Indian captains are among the highest-grossing cricketers. Even if his advertising earnings are set aside, then his annual salary from BCCI is almost equal to the annual salary of the entire Pakistan team. Recently the BCCI released the list of annual contracts for the period from October 2020 to September 2021, in which Kohli along with Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are retained in Grade A Plus.

According to the BCCI contract, A + players get Rs 7 crore a year, while the grade A players get an agreement of Rs 5 crore. Grade-B and C players get Rs 3 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively. At the same time, the Pakistan Cricket Board puts its players in 3 categories i.e. grades. 3 players of A grade get 11 Lakh Pakistani Rupees (ie around 5.20 Lakh Indian Rupees) every month.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Azhar Ali are in this grade. On the other hand, those in the B category get 7.50 lakh Pakistani rupees (ie, 3.54 lakh Indian rupees) and those in the C category get 5.50 lakh Pakistani rupees (i.e. 2.60 lakh Indian rupees). Pakistan has placed 3 players in A category, 9 in B and 6 players in C category. The entire salary of Pakistan team is almost equal to the retainer fees that Virat Kohli gets every year. The Pakistan board spends Rs 7.4 crore every year on players’ fees.
