The Central Authorities has introduced to honor 132 eminent personalities of the nation with Padma Award (Padma Awardnhjbn m). Of those, 5 personalities might be honored with Padma Vibhushan, 17 with Padma Bhushan and 110 with Padma Shri award. A complete of 11 individuals from West Bengal are included in these 132 personalities. 5 eminent personalities of the state might be awarded Padma Bhushan and eight might be awarded Padma Shri. In response to the data, Mithun Chakraborty (Arts), Satyavrat Mukherjee (Public Affairs) and Usha Uthup (Arts) might be honored with Padma Bhushan Award, whereas Geeta Roy Burman. (Arts), Takdira Begum (Arts), Dr. Narayan Chakraborty (Science & Know-how), Ratan Kahar (Arts), Dukhu Majhi (Social Work), Sanatan Rudra Pal (Arts), Eklavya Sharma (Science & Know-how), Nepal Chandra Sutradhar (Arts) might be awarded the Padma Shri award.
