New Delhi Along with the corona virus in the country, now cases of black fungus (mucormycosis) are also increasing. Many states have found such patients in whom this fungal infection has been found. The corona virus is behind the rise of the black fungus case, as well as steroids being blamed. On Saturday, AIIMS director Randeep Guleria said that patients taking diabetes, corona positive and steroids are more likely to develop fungal infections. In such a situation, we should stop the misuse of steroids.

Guleria said that it can affect the face, nose, eyes or brain in the disease. Can also spread to the lungs and the eyesight. Guleria said that we have to follow protocol to prevent this infection. It has been observed that it is a secondary infection that is fungal and bacterial which are causing death.

At the same time, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday that 85 percent of the total cases of Covid-19 in the country are from 10 states. The ministry said that 11 states have more than one lakh under-treatment cases of infection, while eight states have between 50 thousand and one lakh under-treatment patients. It reported that the infection rate in 24 states is more than 15 percent.
