Kozhikode: A youth was arrested with 39 kg of hashish in Thamarassery. Nahas (37) was arrested by a group led by Thamarassery DySP Ashraf Thengilakandi and Narcotics Cell DySP Ashwakumar at Poonur Vattapoyil, Chirakkal Riyadh Home.
His methodology is to smuggle hashish from Andhra Pradesh to Kerala by lorry and provides it to retailers. He was in a position to hire a home on the basement of the Chelotte Moolonji property to retailer the hashish he was delivering. Police obtained details about Nahas, a wholesaler, from Shabbir, who was caught with 14 kg of hashish in Koduvalli on Friday. He was then arrested on Friday night from a rented home within the basement.
Nahas informed police that he had smuggled 300 kg of hashish from Andhra Pradesh on six events since November final 12 months alone. He had been operating a resort in Andhra Pradesh for 3 months. In the meantime, the hashish foyer was established. In line with the police, tens of hundreds of kilos of hashish enter Kerala yearly from Visakhapatnam and Odisha.
