New Delhi: EU Government Vice President and Commerce Commissioner Valdis Dombrowskis stated that the EU will begin talks with India on the proposed free commerce settlement very quickly. Dombrowskis met Commerce and Business Minister Piyush Goyal on the sidelines of the World Financial Discussion board (WEF) assembly in Geneva.
He tweeted, “Nice assembly with Minister of India Piyush Goyal. Formal talks on a free commerce settlement will begin quickly. India’s commerce secretary BVR Subramaniam stated in April that the 27-nation EU and India would begin talks on a long-pending free commerce settlement in June. This settlement between India and the EU has been caught since May 2013 as a consequence of varied points.
