Women’s Premier League: Win for Mumbai; Royal Challengers bounce back with defeat

Mumbai: After two defeats, Mumbai Indians ended their preliminaries within the Girls’s Premier League with a win. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated by 4 wickets, Rating: Royal Challengers Bangalore-125/9 (20), Mumbai Indians-129/6 (16.2). Royal Challengers’ struggles finish with defeat.

Amelia Kerr’s all-round efficiency gave Mumbai the win. Amelia, who took three wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, captured the Royal Challengers and led the workforce to victory with an unbeaten 33 runs from 27 balls together with 4 fours. Batting first, Ellis Perry and Richa Ghosh scored 29 runs every for the Royal Challengers. Captain Smriti Manthana scored 24 runs. For Mumbai, EC Wong and Nat Skiver Brunt took two wickets every and Seika Ishaq took one wicket.

Yastika Bhatia (30), Hayley Mathews (24) and Pooja Vastrakar (19) have been the opposite scorers for Mumbai. Kanika Ahuja took two wickets for Royal Challengers. Megan Scutt, Shreyanka Patil, Ellis Perry and Shobhana Asha every obtained a wicket.
