Chennai. Former Rajya Sabha MP and Deputy Chairman of the Tamil Nadu State Minorities Fee, D Mastan, has been arrested by the police for killing his youthful brother Ghos Basha in a household property dispute.
Police sources stated that on the premise of investigation, 5 members of the family of former MP D Mastan (66) have been arrested. Gaus Basha was arrested from his residence in Red Hills, a north Chennai suburb.
Police investigation revealed that there was a property dispute between the brothers. On the instigation of Ghos Basha, his son-in-law Imran killed Mastan. Mastan was a Rajya Sabha member of the AIADMK from 1995 to 2001. 5 folks, together with Ghos Basha’s son-in-law Imran, have already been arrested on this case.
