Idukki> DYFI state committee member attacked by youth congress- ganja mafia. State committee member B Anoop was attacked by Youth Congress activists with lethal weapons. The incident happened at Elapara in Idukki at round 11 pm final evening.
Anoop was admitted to the Peerumedu Taluk Hospital with extreme head accidents from being hit with a wire rod. DYFI leaders mentioned that disputes associated to campaigns organized towards Lahari Mafi below the management of DYFI district treasurer Anupin led to the violence.
District Secretary Ramesh Krishnan demanded that the native youth congress leaders who shield the ganja mafia led the violence and strict motion must be taken towards them. Peerumedu police registered a case and began proceedings.
