Kollam > Father and son, accused within the case of beheading a youth, have been sentenced to life imprisonment and a high-quality of Rs.50,000. Damij Ahmed (28) and Salahuddin (63), natives of Kunnikode, had been sentenced to life imprisonment. Kottarakkara Particular SCST Courtroom Decide Jayakrishnan pronounced the sentence. The conviction is beneath sections 449, 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. They killed Anil Kumar (35) at his home in Kunnikode Kaduvamkode.
The incident associated to the case will happen on September 17, 2022. After the dispute over the slicing of the tree, the second defendant Salahud and the primary defendant's son Damij Ahmed broke into Anilkumar's home and lower down the tree. After this, they went on the run and had been taken into custody by the police from Ervadi in Tamil Nadu. Particular Public Prosecutor Adv GS Santhoshkumar appeared for the prosecution.
