New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has carried out searches at six places in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Mumbai in a cash laundering case in opposition to jailed Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki and others.

“Cash worth Rs 26 lakh, digital devices, various incriminating documents in the form of handwritten diaries detailing illegal receipts, investments in partnerships, land deals and cash expenses of about Rs 40-50 crore, indicate evidence of investment in property in Mumbai. There has been an investment of around Rs 5 crore. Recovered and seized,” the officer stated.
