Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday filed a bail plea in a particular courtroom in Ranchi, alleging that his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was politically motivated and a well-planned try to pressure him to hitch the BJP. Is a part of the conspiracy.

The particular PMLA (Prevention of Cash Laundering Act) courtroom mounted April 23 as the following date of listening to after the ED sought time to file its reply.

The plea filed by Soren's lawyer Arunabh Chaudhary stated, “The entire prosecution and arrest of the petitioner is politically motivated and is part of a well-planned conspiracy of the Central Government to intimidate, threaten and humiliate prominent opposition leaders like the petitioner, so that They may be forced to join the Bharatiya Janata Party or become part of the National Democratic Alliance.”

Soren was arrested by the ED on January 31 in a cash laundering case associated to an alleged land rip-off, quickly after he resigned as chief minister. He’s at the moment lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail of Ranchi.
