TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei led prayers on the funeral of Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi on Thursday, in accordance with media studies.
“The Supreme Leader paid tribute to the tireless struggle of this martyr and called for his cooperation with the Guardians of God,” Iranian media reported.
Iranian media studies stated mourners chanted “Death to America, death to Israel” throughout Mousavi’s funeral at Iraq’s most revered Shia shrine within the metropolis of Najaf.
On Wednesday, Brigadier General Mousavi was killed in an airstrike within the Sayida Zainab space close to the Syrian capital Damascus. He was a high-ranking official within the IRGC and was coordinating Iran’s army operations in Syria.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has stated that Israel should pay a heavy worth for the killing of Brigadier General Razi Mousavi.
Israel has alleged that Brigadier General Mousavi was chargeable for coordinating the provision of weapons and supplies to Hezbollah.
The Israelis have alleged that Iran and its IRGC are supporting Hamas and Hezbollah who act in coordination to assault Israel.
In the meantime, Iran’s Overseas Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated Tel Aviv was dealing with a troublesome reckoning.
