Shiv Sena aspirant may retreat, leave Baramati battle to Pawar 'nanad-bhabhi'

Mumbai: In a major improvement, former ruling Shiv Sena MLA Vijay Shivtare is prone to go away the Baramati struggle after assembly prime leaders of the Mahayuti alliance right here on Thursday.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit A. Pawar in addition to senior Shiv Sena chief Bharat Gogavale held a 'significant' assembly with Shivtare on the Chief Minister's bungalow 'Varsha' on Thursday.

After the tete-a-tete, everybody emerged smiling broadly, indicating that the political controversy over Baramati is outwardly over and Shivtare could also be out of the race, though a proper announcement will probably be made later.

Earlier, an adamant Shivtare had threatened to file his nomination papers as an unbiased for Baramati on April 12 at 12 midday, and even vowed to “defeat Sunetra A. Pawar”, Mahayuti Shocked and Ajit A.

The battle for Baramati is about to be fought between Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Ajit Pawar's spouse Sunetra A. Pawar and Nationalist Congress Party (SP) working president and three-time sitting MP Supriya Sule.

NCP (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar's daughter, Supriya Sule, is the 'sister-in-law' of Sunetra A. Pawar (his sister-in-law) and the 2 ladies share cordial relations, as seen on a number of events in latest instances once they clashed. With one another within the constituency through the election marketing campaign.

With out naming anybody, Ajit A. Pawar had on Wednesday hinted that the NCP would formally announce its candidate for Baramati in a day or two, “and the candidate will be the person who is in your mind”.
