Two-way traffic restored on Jammu-Srinagar highway for LMV

Srinagar: After a fortnight, authorities on Wednesday allowed two-way site visitors for mild motor autos (LMVs) on the Jammu-Srinagar freeway.

Visitors division officers stated that LMVs can be allowed to ply on the freeway from each Jammu and Srinagar sides immediately.

As a result of poor situation of the highway as a result of landslides and falling of stones between Banihal and Ramban cities, solely one-way site visitors was allowed on the freeway for a fortnight.

Carriageway widening work was initiated by the Nationwide Highways Authority of India at Dalwas, whereas work to clear landslide particles additionally started at a number of areas to make the highway protected for two-way site visitors.
